Our host Jair Santanna is an accomplished researcher at the University of Twente with many papers to his name on the subject of DDoS and Booters. His most recent paper, his PhD thesis, was titled “DDoS-as-a-Service: Investigating Booter Websites”. In this paper he investigated third-parties and organisations (in)directly involved with booters, websites offering DDoS attacks for very affordable prices. The goal is to both decrease the effects of these services and eliminate them all together.

Throughout his career at the university, Jair has not only performed research but has also enthusiastically given lectures and presentations. With both his fitting background in research and his great presentation skills, Jair Santanna will lead the main track.
