More and more tasks that have historically been done by humans, are being automated and now performed by machines. This also means that these machines are becoming more advanced, incorporating increaingly modern technology. Symposium Hephaestus will aim to inform you about the connection between IT, machines and robotics. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet several companies in the field.

Hephaestus is the ancient greek god of blacksmiths, fire, metallurgy, and metalworking. Hephaestus had his own palace on Olympus, containing his workshop with anvil and twenty bellows that worked at his bidding. Hephaestus built so called "automatons" of metal to work for him or others. This included tripods with golden wheels, and golden maidens to serve him.
